The Obama administration expects to announce next week a plan help homeowners and "reduce" the cost of mortgages.

2.24.09  The government will announce on March 4, 2009 their latest updates for lender guidlines.  These updates are expected to include the option to refinance your mortgage even if you owe more then your home is worth.

2.12.09  PMI has announced the soon will leave the Third Party Origination market for mortgage insurance.  This comes as no surprise as the need for their services has decreased significantly with the rise of FHA loans in the last 12 months.

2.13.09  Interest rates in the Mortgage Backed Securities market capped off another volatile week.  As lenders work through their volume you are starting to see easing of rates off their highs however the increase in yield for MBSs is preventing any meaningful decline.
